Brain enhancement, remote control human beings, super warriors, chipping humans, Engineered Bio-Molecular Nano-Devices/Systems … sound like science fiction? No, it is science fact or, at least, possible.
According to several articles I’ve read, research on nano-technology is progressing rapidly. It is now possible to integrate silicon chips into living human cells.
Nanowerk.com states that “researchers have begun to explore the interface of biology and electronics by integrating nanoelectronic components and living cells.” “…silicon chips smaller than cells can be produced, collected, and internalized inside living cells by different techniques (lipofection, phagocytosis or microinjection) and, most significantly, they can be used as intracellular sensors.” Scientists integrate living brain cells into organic semiconductors.
Popsci website writes about DARPA technological advancements and is well worth a look. They say: “Scientists have already created mini-cyborgs out of living cells and semiconductor materials, but now biological cells can also contain tiny silicon chips.” “It may also represent a small step toward fulfilling several of the Pentagon’s wishes set forth by DARPA, including engineering immortal controllable synthetic beings with genetic kill-switches.”
Wired.com online magazine has a list of interesting articles tagged with DARPAWATCH.
What is DARPA? DARPA is the US Governments Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. On DARPA’s own website http://www.darpa.mil/index.html they list some ongoing research which is the utmost in high technology including nanotechnology: http://www.darpa.mil/off_programs.html
I’m not a scientist or physicist, but some of these projects seemed quite alarming to me. But, again, I’m just a little old lady living up in the mountains, so what do I know.
Technovelgy.com website has a list of eye-opening DARPA-related projects. It does lack substantial references to prove DARPA’s involvement.
It seems to me that a lot of this technology is still in it’s infancy. It raises a lot of red flags and alarms as to using nanotechnology in the human body. My biggest concern would be that ability to chip the human race without their knowledge.
A Virginia lawmaker Mark Cole, a Fredericksburg Republican, sponsored a bill in the House of Delegates to prohibit the involuntary implantation of microchips into human beings. “My understanding—I’m not a theologian—but there’s a prophecy in the Bible that says you’ll have to receive a mark, or you can neither buy nor sell things in end times,” said Cole. “Some people think these computer chips might be that mark.
